Lovely place at a stunning location. Our room had an amazing view. Very friendly, warm people, who took such great care of us. They made us feel so welcome and they really put in all the extra effort, like checking our car tires to make sure we were safe. Very delicious food. Would absolutely stay here again. Very homey atmosphere.

We had the most wonderful stay at Langaholt guesthouse! The room was perfect for our family of 5, our boys loved the bunk beds. The views from our room were absolutely stunning! The staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating to our needs. We loved returning at night after a long day of adventuring, to a hot cup of tea and watching the sunset from the cozy seating area near our room. Couldn't recommend this place more! Hope to return soon!

This hotel is perfectly placed in the middle of nowhere and has amazing full wall windows so you can lay in bed looking out for a chance to see the northern lights. The staff were very friendly but their meals were just slightly lacking. It is a bit more basic but fulfils all your needs. I will say that finding the rooms is a bit awkward as the layout is strange and there are some rooms that you'll need to go down stairs to so if you can't take yourself or your luggage down stairs then please specify before booking.

We were traveling around the island for two weeks and part of our itinerary was an overnight in Langaholt Guesthouse. The hotel is on the coast with an open view of the horizon. The room was small, comfortable, warm and had a lovely view. The door leading directly to the outside was a wonderful surprise.

The food offered in the evening buffet was all homemade and tasted WONDERFUL! My husband and I both agreed that the food tasted much better than the buffet food we had the night before in Reykjavik at double the price.

We were both quite disappointed that we had only one night here. It was as lovely experience.

This is a review for the restaurant only. We have been here two times in our different trips to Iceland. This place is amazing, the food feels truly homemade, that is done by your grandma in a cold day.
We had the catch of the day, with vegetables. Everything was super tasty, including the vegetables.

Large Double Room with Glacier and Sea View

A very nice, very rural feeling hotel with a lot of charm. This was another hotel where one lady seemed to be running the entire hotel by herself, both checking in guests and attending the dinner service. She did very well!

The evening buffet was okay, as per all Icelandic meals, it seemed overly expensive for what was available. But it all tasted very nice and the selection was good. Complimentary tea and coffee at any time was a nice touch and even late at night when everyone was in bed the coffee pot was still fresh! If you stay in a corner room, be prepared for an epic walk to your room from the dining room and/or reception!

The room was clean and tidy and warm. The corner view was sensational and really conveyed a feeling of remoteness. We had a lower ground floor room that benefitted from a door out onto a deck and beyond. This made northern lights spotting at night super fun and easy - albeit on this occasion we were unlucky.

The room, by design or omission, didn't have a TV. This was fine by us as the view was enough. Perhaps, that is the logic. But if you do want a TV, may be enquire first if you choose a similar room.

Nice stay and would stay again if we visit Iceland again.

What a stunning and fabulous location! This place is one of a kind ti stay in. Loved the decir , the rooms , the attached balconies to the rooms which give a beautiful beach view, mountain view and the snow view in winters. Beautiful northern lights from behind and over the mountains can be seen during winters. Northern Lights or Aurora view is a dream come true. This place is a must visit for stay if you are in iceland. All the efforts done by the owners and their team is all worth it. Cheers to the team. The staff is very polite helpful and courteous.
