Very friendly staff and very beautiful and large Common room/kitchen. In the kitchen you have everything you need and more. The room was a Bit small for 4 people with luggage, but we knew that already, so no surprise here.
Love the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle motto.
A very green Hostel indeed 🙂

I had a wonderful time at the Husavik Green Hostel. The owner of the hostel owner is incredibly kind, and took the time to give me a lot of helpful suggestions to help plan out my time in Husavik. The rooms were nice and clean, and the location cannot be beat as everything is just a few minutes walk away. I hope to visit again soon!

Beautiful hostel in restored authentic house. Artistic and aesthetically pleasing interior design & lovely colours throughout. |Spotlessly clean all the time ! Wonderful informative host who goes out of her way to greet and explain everything to every guest on arrival. Perfect location in centre of Húsavík town . Comfy beds and bedding , powerful hot showers. Nice views. It has it all ! I would recommend to anyone.

Owner was extremely welcoming when we arrived and gave us a great overview of the hostel and the area. The price was great and the entire hostel was spotless. Everything we wanted to do in town was within walking distance and we were always able to find parking right outside the hostel. This is definitely a quiet hostel. Do not come here expecting the typical party vibe that many associate with hostels. We got back at 11:00 one night and other guests were already long asleep, so be mindful of how to enter quietly and respectfully

Super welcoming and cozy hostel only 1 minute away from the bus stop. The manager is very friendly and helpful, we got to chat a lot when I checked in. There's everything you need.
I also love the fact that they are so environmentally aware and responsible and give huge importance to recycling. Highly recommended.

Das 'Green Hostel' liegt zentral im Ortsmitte von Husavik, in unmittelbarer Nähe vom Hafen (Whalewatching), Walmuseum, Läden, Gaststätten und die Therme Geosee. Ein Tagesausflug zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten am Myvatn ist auch sehr empfehlenswert.
Mein Einzelzimmer war mit einer Kommode, ein Regal sowie Aufhängeleiste (ohne Kleiderschrank) neuwertig augestattet. Die Gemeinschaftsräume einschließlich Küche waren sehr sauber und großzügig Ausgestattet. Ich war 5 Nächte hier im Hostel untergebracht und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und mich mit der sehr freundliche Besitzerin regelmäßig ausgetauscht.
Fazit: dieses Hostel kann ich mit gutem Gewissen jederzeit empfehlen.

The Husavik Green Hostel is in central location, very close to the Husavik port, the hostess is very friendly and talkative, the room was clean but the double bed was not that big and the water has a smell probably cause is coming from the thermal water in the ground. The common area is very spacious too and the check in - check out process simple. If you need bath towel you have to request in advance.
