If you’re ever dying but not so much dying, do yourself a favor and drive to literally any other hospital, even a vet. Five stars if you don’t mind experimental treatments because nobody in this hospital can treat or diagnose anything. Zero stars if you came here to, you know, to get better.

1 star is too much. The staff here is heartless. I was in a car crash and i needed medical attention. The staff didn't care and told me to make an appointment for tomorrow even tho i told them that i was in a lot of pain. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hospital at all costs.

On Sunday at home, I unfortunately bent down to pick up something from the floors. A terribly unpleasant current went through me, and I never got up from the floors. The boy had to take me to the car and take me to the hospital, he made my whole spine and legs numb. I was very scared. At 4 p.m. we arrived at the Emergency Room, the nurse took care of it very quickly. I was given a cannula and 9 injections, unfortunately the pain did not go away. I spent 4 days in the hospital, it is said that my disc jumped over and compressed my nerve. The lady at the reception desk, Dr. Erik, the nurses and the cleaning ladies was very friendly and helpful. Throughout my stay, I was constantly communicating in English and no one made a problem of it. The food was delicious (apart from the gruel, maybe one meal) After 3 days I was able to stand on my feet, and after 4 days I slowly recover. I got a very nice physiotherapist (Sara) who came to me and helped me with the exercises to ease the pain that was bothering me. I received a photo of the exercises that I received at home, was referred to Physiotherapy and received a prescription with medications. I rate my stay very well, despite the terrible pain I experienced during the first few days.
The doctor and the staff relieved my pain and made me feel at home for which I would like to thank you! ❤

The entrance for Heilsugæslan is fronf of the building walk towards the entrance and once youre closer theres another entrance to the right marked Heilsugæsla, then theres a desk right by the door.
It does have a computer for self checkin IF you have an appointment and a person behind a desk. But you need to make an appointment first before going.

I went at 7:30pm place closes at 8pm and i couldnt get in as they said they were fully booked and i had to get an appointment

The staff here is heartless. My daughter had a severe stomach illness and went there for help. They gave her gravol, charged her $1550CDN and called her a cab saying there was nothing wrong with her. I flew to Iceland to help her and found her fevered and shivering in her camper! If you travel to Iceland, don't get sick, they don't care. They just take tourists money and kick them out. Absolutely horrible.
