Loved this hotel. Staff was so accommodating & food was delicious ! Enjoyed the hot tub. Rooms felt very homey and clean. Great value !

The staff were super friendly and kind. The facility was clean and well maintained. And the food was very good. ||The young lady who worked the desk gave us insight on the hike to the lake, which we took (2.5 hrs round trip). ||An excellent location on the Ring Road, for those who do not want an urban stay.

I had the best nights sleep so far in Iceland in this quiet, comfortable and beautiful place. The staff was generous and kind. The hot tub on a cold evening before bed was such a luxury. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good. Will definitely be back on my way back around.

This place has been a great choice overall. For Americans, be aware that the showers and toilets are shared. You do have your own sink and mirror in the room. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is really good. I’ll include their menu. They serve breakfast with the room. Dinner costs but the choices are good and cost is in line. The staff is fantastic! Very helpful and accommodating.

We stopped here for lunch when we were in the area and it was an excellent choice. The staff was warm and friendly. We each had a smoked salmon salad which was a generous portion and really delicious as were the apple waffles. A wonderful and relaxing lunch in a beautiful area

The food at the guesthouse was absolutely fantastic! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of dishes they offered. Each meal was prepared with great care and attention to detail. Everyone will find something for himself. 🙂

Il lodge è situato ad una trentina di kilometri da Akureyri , vivace cittadina su un fiordo con diversi bar e ristoranti, e si trova sulla famosa strada numero 1. La struttura è composta da un edificio che continente la reception il bar ed il ristorante oltre ad alcune camere ed una seconda a circa trecento metri e posta sull’altro lato della strada ad un centinaio di metri all’interno della stessa ( quindi non sentirete il rumore delle peraltro poche macchine che passano) . Questa seconda struttura era un tempo una fattoria ed è in esperienza potervi soggiornare ora; oltre a cinque camere ci sino spazi comuni : la cucina il living , una sala tv ed il bagno. L’unica pecca forse un solo bagno per cinque stanze potrebbe essere poco in caso di piena occupazione (ma per noi non è stato così ). Le camere piuttosto ampie per gli standard islandesi e tutti gli ambienti molti puliti. Il prezzo più che ragionevole sempre secondo gli standard di qui.
