This place is incredible, the staff were so nice to my partner and I, and we weren’t even staying overnight! We were just hoping to escape the awful weather on our road trip and maybe use the pool/shower, so a super nice lady have us a tour, then charged us 1000ISK each to use all of the hotel’s facilities for as long as we wanted. We ended up staying a few hours, chilling I. their lovely games room, and having lunch. 10/10 would recommend if you’re ever in this corner of Iceland.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. Before anyone goes about judging how the room or building looks like, you have to understand that it was a school until 2000. This is just to set your expectations. That being said, everything about our stay there was outstanding. The owners are incredibly helpful and nice, the staff is prompt and responsive. We stayed there in November and essentially had the place to ourselves. We still got to eat with freshly prepared food from the kitchen, and it was amazing! If there's a dark sky you can just head out and try to spot some aurora. Just a wonderful place.

Wonderful and kind stuff, magical space, home atmosphere with a hint of luxury in a beautiful and a bit raw area of Iceland. ||I didn't plan to stay here, but because I felt sick, I had to stay suddenly and honestly, I couldn't end up in a better place to get better. ||The hot spring close by is magical, but also hotel itself offers a lot and is full of lovely and inspiring spaces- I recomend it for a longer stay with family, when you can truly take advantage of this lovely space- its worth it!

Very nice and cozy hotel to stay at. The food is excellent, the staff friendly and helpful, and the pool is great fun. Also good to stop here for coffee if that's what you need on your way to the Westfjords

My wife and I stayed a night. We had a great stay! Only a few guests that night, so we enjoyed a hot tub to ourselves next door.
We saw the northern lights easily as well.
The wing we were in was very clean and the room was quite nice. The staff were relaxed and easy going, very helpful. Breakfast was a good selection and tasty.
Would return for sure!

The staff were attentive and the owner was gracious with warm and inviting hospitality, making you feel like family. The fish and lamb dishes were made with local ingredients and presented beautifully. The desserts were made with locally sourced ingredients too. A great incentive was the hot bath right outside of the hotel, within a pastoral and rural setting. We will be coming back again. Very generous and warm place.

Clean and simple accommodation, with a very friendly staff and surprisingly excellent food made only from local ingredients. We stayed in the new section which was fine, but if you are looking for elegant luxury, you will not find it here. Breakfast was chaotic and the hotel should consider having guests reserve specific time slots to avoid this. However, the overall experience was positive.

Beautiful place to visit. With new owners the place is being redesigned. room clean and comfortable. The hospitality is great, warm and welcoming. Quiet and relaxing, with pool, hot tubs and sauna and close by is a historic old natural pool, just minutes walking from the hotel. Recommend this strongly to experiance and unique place in Iceland.
