에피타이저 와플 궁금해서 시켜봤는데 곁들여 나오는 연어알+사워크림이 재미있는 맛이었고, 와플은 조식에도 나오기때문에 호텔 숙박하시며 조식 포함일 경우에는 굳이 안 시켜도 되는 디쉬인 것 같아요.?
메인디쉬 오리는 진짜 맛있었는데 소스랑 고기 합이 좋았고 같이 나오는 감자와 버섯 아티초크도 맛있게 먹었습니다. 메인디쉬는 전체적으로 밸런스도 좋고 호텔 디너치고 괜찮은 가격이었습니다.
디저트는 아이슬란드 치즈 파르페인가… 이름이 잘 기억은 안나는데 완전 우유 치즈 농축된 아이스크림과 캬라멜 소스, 여러 종류 견과류가 나와 맛있게 잘 먹었습니다.

개인적인 소감으론 해당 호텔 숙박하면서 아큐레이리 도착한 날 저녁으로 완벽했습니다.‍♀️

Bardzo dobra lokalizacja. Bardzo miła i kompetentna obsługa. A jedzenie przepyszne. Mają inne menu na czas obiadu i inne na wieczór. Krótkie i konkretne. Przystawki, danie główne i deser świetnie się komponują.
Czekadełko to chleb i puszyste masło.
Ryba dnia smaczna, soczysta w środku i chrupiąca na zewnątrz. Kaczka pysznie doprawiona i soczysta. A na deser najlepsze lody z farmy Holtsel.
Polecam i przy najbliższej okazji napewno wrocimy ?

Restaurant is located inside the Berjaya hotel in Akureyi. Modern/sophisticated vibe to the decor. Food was very good and prices were fair for what I've seen in Iceland so far.

I had the smash burger with fries and ice cream from Holtseli (3 scoops: salted caramel, Ferrero rocher, and vanilla bean with strawberries) for dessert and my friends both got the seafood pasta and the glazed raspberry ball for dessert.

BUTTERNUT SQUASH
Blue cheese, grapes, pesto, chervil, port

The delicious grape is very sweet balances well with port & blue cheese tartness’s. When I first saw it I thought just cooked pumpkin. But the flavours are extremely good. Well balanced. The small seeded crisp is bonus that gives the extra crunch to the soft expertly cooked squash. A surprisingly very good start. Champagne is nice no idea what it is.

SALMON
Lightly smoked and slow-cooked salmon, apple, salmon roe, dulse, 
popped rice, dill, wasabi sauce

- Salmon chard with torch salmon roe wasabi sauce with tiny bits apple very sour.

Salmon cooked expertly. Balance with roe & apple good. Dulse ( dulse, dillisk or dilsk, red dulse, sea lettuce flakes, or creathnach, is a red alga previously referred to as Rhodymenia palmata. It grows on the northern coasts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It is a well-known snack food. ) Was really lacking in presence which was disappointing as I want to try it.
The wasabi sauce was very disappointing. I’d call it very weak wasabi water.
When you cook salmon this good you can be forgiven for a few hiccups. Loved it.
The matching Chabli was okay just lost in the tartness of the dish.

Sad thing is the service by the 2 young staff is poor. They’re overwhelmed by Le
Ss than 20 people. I don’t blame them it looks like either training or balancing the number of staff.

Overall a great tasting that just needs some minor adjustments to make the “event” more enjoyable.

MAIN COURSES
DUCK BREAST
Blackberries, mushrooms, mushroom Pommes Anna (layered potato slices) , 
Jerusalem artichokes, port wine sauce

Well the duck breast was okay or not ok. Duck is cooked quickly on high heat so you capture the flavour if you cook it slow and low it’s ends up tough. This breast has bits that are that sensational melting in the mouth amazing taste. The sauce berries mushrooms are just fantastic the balance perfectly no doubt as the chef intended. But more than 1/2 was tough chewy and unpleasant. I even wondered whether it’s was actually breast meat at all. Small things disappoint an experience. Not on this occasion I have pointed out some negatives but the flavours intended by chef came through and were delicious and fantastic. Just a few things were not up to par.

Piacevolmente sorpreso!
Main course davvero eccellente (abbiamo preso un anatra e un pesce del giorno, merluzzo). Dolce piacevole. Servizio davvero ottimo per gli standard islandesi. Lo consiglio vivamente per una bella cena islandese di qualità (da residente in Islanda). Prezzo nello standard islandese.

Offering a limited but excellent menu. Our first visit, we shared some excellent appetizers and for our main a perfectly prepared duck breast and a delicious lamb shank which was
crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.
Service was impeccable. The only drawback is that it is located in a hotel which even off season was very busy. We will return to check their fish dishes but today was a meat day.
