NON SEGUITE LE INDICAZIONI DI MAPS. Maps vi porta dalla parte opposta del fiume rispetto alla cascata. Comunque bello (Prima foto).
Per arrivarci girate a Bragõavellir COTTAGES (seconda foto) e proseguite seguendo il cartello “waterfall” (terza foto). Strada percorribile andando piano, noi ci siamo andati ad ottobre in una giornata serena con un camper NON 4x4 (Quarta foto).

Wir haben bei dem Restaurant geparkt, es hatte geschlossen, daher dachten wir das passt. Es war regnerisch und bei dem Weg den wir gewählt hatten mussten wir einen Bach überqueren - das war ein Abenteuer.
Wir waren ca 40minuten unterwegs, und am Wasserfall, komplett alleine. Der Weg ist am besten mit Wanderschuhen zu gehen.

I felt a need to review this waterfall after reading Oscar’s review. He must’ve gone to the wrong waterfall! You do not have to pay for parking here. The road to get to the waterfall is a bit rough towards the end, but easily doable with a AWD. There is free parking! Access to the waterfall is still under construction so just be careful not to mess up or touch any of the metal planks they are still laying out. Again, parking is free. There isn’t really a parking lot of sorts, you just sort of pull off to the side. But again, well worth it given the FREE parking and the beautiful view.

Vesiputous on kaunis ja rauhallinen - käyntimme aikana olimme ainoat vierailijat paikalla.

Paikalle on ilmeisesti ollut pidemmän aikaa jo rakenteilla portaikko, joka on jäänyt syystä tai toisesta kesken. Portaikon päällä pystyi kävelemään, mutta se ei ollut valmis loppuun asti - hieman turvattoman oloinen, en suosittele lapsille tai heikolle tasapainolle. Vesiputoukselle johtavalla tiellä ainakin elokussa helppo puron ylitys.

Beautiful small waterfall, but for around 15 minutes 1.000 ISK for parking is an absolute rip off and not in any proportion to the site and the 2 portable toilets offered.

Mooie waterval – maar de werkzaamheden lijken eeuwig te duren

Snædalsfoss is een prachtige waterval op een rustige plek, zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Je ziet dat ze bezig zijn om het pad en de omgeving toegankelijker te maken voor bezoekers, wat op zich goed is.

Maar het lijkt wel alsof ze daar al drie jaar aan het werk zijn – en het schiet niet echt op. Desondanks een mooie plek om even te stoppen en te genieten van de natuur.

Malowniczy wodospad, do którego dojeżdża się w kilka minut od głównej drogi. Pod wodospadem znajduje się prowizoryczny parking, natomiast do samego wodospadu prowadzi chyba dosyć nowa kładka, która jednak nie jest dokończona. Przez to miejsce to trochę niechlujne, ale wodospad wciąż malowniczy. Dolina i góry wokół cudowne!
