Við gistum eina nótt og vorum í mat og drykk. Frábært og vinalegt starfsfólk. Gómsætur matur. Þrír fallegir hundar og einn pollrólegur kisi. Fínasta herbergi og góð dýna. Enduðum í hlöðupartý og kareoke. Þvílík gleði.

Frábært hótel og starfsfólkið yndislegt. Kyrrð og ró ef að þú villt sofa út. Morgunmaturinn vel útilátinn og kvöld maturinn fjölbreyttur og hvað öðru betra.
Við mælum hiklaust með Brú sem dásamlegum áningarstað. ❤️💕🥰😄

Brú Country Estate is a very quiet and cozy accommodation outside of the town Selfoss. It is about 20 minutes from Selfoss. Our stay was made special by our interactions with employees (shout-out Emmanuel, the chef) and the hotel pets, Mia the cat and the 3 adorable dogs. The Brú offers breakfast in the morning which I provided more details for below from 8am to 10am. The estate offers a full bar as well and a large common area to sit and enjoy the quaint and vintage interior. There is a plethora of board games to play as well. The estate is located far enough outside of the nearby towns that you can very easily see the northern lights from right outside of the hotel in the back of the building (there is a large field you can walk into, bring a flashlight/torch). There is a hot tub as well at the side of the building which is extremely warm and refreshing, and is similar in temperature lagoons you may experience at Sky Lagoon or Secret Lagoon, etc. You can bring drinks out there purchased from the bar, just be respectful to not spill any liquid into the hot tub.

Free and fast wifi is available. The estate is very clean and smells fresh any time of the day. The staff work very hard and despite having pets in and out of the estate, there was never any pet hair or visible dirt.

The Brú is a fantastic pick that is centrally located near major sightseeing spots. I hope more travelers visit and stay here, we nearly had the entire hotel to ourselves during the tourism off season in the middle of February 2025. I wish to see this business thrive!

My fiancé and I stayed at this charming hotel during our trip to Iceland, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect—close enough to the Golden Circle and southern Iceland's top attractions, making it easy to explore. The breakfast was delicious, and the chef was exceptionally kind, always making us feel welcome.

The atmosphere was so cozy and inviting. Every night, we felt like we were returning to a peaceful retreat. One of the highlights was definitely seeing the Northern Lights from the backyard—such an unforgettable experience!

And the pets! The hotel had both dogs and cats, but surprisingly, there was no pet smell at all. There was also adorable Icelandic horses that love pets in a short walking distance. It was incredibly clean, so you'd never know there were animals around, except for the adorable Mia, the best cat receptionist, who always greeted us with a warm and welcoming presence.

Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience Iceland in comfort and warmth!

We had the most incredible stay in Iceland! Traveling as a family of four, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel at home with a friendly welcome and great advice about were to eat around the are and how to use the facilities. We were welcomed also by the friendly dogs and a cute cat that our kids loved.||The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped for a family. The pillows were a bit flat but other than that everything was perfect. || The hotel offers excellent amenities for families—like a hot tub that the kids were thrilled about, and a cozy lounge with warm decor where we could unwind after a day of exploring, play cards and chest. ||Breakfast was a treat, with a variety of foods cold cuts, eggs, mini pancakes, juices, bread, milk, creams and delicious fresh jams that made it fun for everyone to try something new. And the hotel’s location was ideal, making it easy to reach popular spots in the golden circle. ||We could have gone out to dinner in a restaurant but the weather was really bad with high winds and rain. I honestly loved staying in and enjoying the place. The staff in charge was very helpful with giving us everything we need it to warm up the package meals we had brought and we ate at the beautiful dinning room. ||Our entire stay felt like a magical escape, thanks to their thoughtful touches. We would recommend to anyone, especially families looking to experience something unique and warm Icelandic welcome.
