This is what we basically got:

We came late in the evening and my son was offered a nice crispy croissant by the friendly staff.

Upon asking about the check-in we were reminded that the hostel has a self check in policy, which by the way meant that the code that we got magically opened both our quarters as well as the guests kitchen.

Rooms are robust, basic necessities only. Bathrooms clean.
Guest kitchen plesant due to the mix of hotel guests and a good place to chat and socialize.

We were pleased with our stay here and would recommend :).

Camere un po’ piccoline e si moriva di caldo all’interno. Bagni in comune con docce (sia uomini che donne) però poi abbiamo scoperto che al piano interrato sono divisi. Cucina ben fornita di stoviglie! Peccato i furbetti che mangiavano e non ripulivano! Come unica tappa prima della partenza va bene!

Ideal location to start/finish your trip around Iceland. Close to Reykjavik city center.
Big parking and easy access to rooms.
Very clean and tidy hostel.
Only „minus” is lack of towels in rooms.
This should be a standard and not extra paid commodity.

Reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was adequate, a little more storage would have helped. The kitchen has jobs and a microwave, no cooker. Limited bowls but plenty of pots, pans and utensils. Downside which was beyond hostels control, some of our food was taken. The grounds were brilliant, close to everything and the bus right outside for the capital.
The shared bathroom was clean.
Overall, would definitely recommend!

I really liked the hostel, it's very clean and comfortable. The staff is polite, they always greet you with a smile and a good mood. I want to separately mention Sasha (Alex), who helped with all the questions, even called the guide and clarified about the reservation. But at the end there was an unpleasant moment, my jewelry was stolen from my room 🥲

Abbiamo provato due camere, la prima notte con il bagno in comune e letto a castello. Dalla seconda una a camera con bagno privato. |Della prima posso dire che è oscena, saranno anche comodi i letti e cuscini ma non c’è proprio spazio dentro la camera che oltre il letto non può ospitare nient’altro. Inoltre in entrambe le camere dovevi provvedere tu a sistemare il letto e rifarlo da capo così come al check out dovevi smontarlo e gettare le lenzuola sporche nel bidone di sotto. |Il bagno in comune è osceno, molto affollato, non c’è suddivisione tra maschio e femmine e sporco. |Nella camera con il bagno posso dire invece che è molto spaziosa, il bagno lascia un po’ a desiderare così come la pulizia però ho visto di peggio. Attenzione alla doccia perché si allaga tutto il bagno. |La “hall” è molto spaziosa per passare una serata al caldo, e fuori l’hotel c’è molto spazio e siamo stati anche fortunati perché si vedeva l’aurora boreale.

Well positioned, it'easy to go to the Town center by bus. The room was big, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel to visit Rejkavik and the surroundings.

We had a shared room. The rooms were adequate for the number of people in each. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hostel and most welcome after 10 days trekking. There were lockers for valuables, a toilet/shower that was sufficiently separate from the sleeping area that you did not get disturbed by people going to the bathroom during the night or leaving early in the morning. The hostel staff were all very relaxed, friendly and full of useful information. The location of the hostel is good, by the campsite and the most wonderful municipal thermal spa (recommended). We used the kitchens whilst there. We managed but it was a little short of cutlery and small pans. We had the hostel breakfast on one day which was excellent value for money. The general areas of the hostel were comfortable and very relaxing. A great place to be and we would highly recommend it.
