Friendly staff, easy check in/out. Don’t miss the homemade bread at the breakfast buffet- absolute, hands down the best of the trip. We were talking about it for days!! Rooms were cozy but clean. Lovely sunrise view. Shared bathroom very close to the room.

We loved staying here- this was our favorite accommodation of our whole trip. Great spot to view the northern lights, easy to find (we checked in after dark), lovely breakfast in the morning. The rooms are a little small, but we just needed somewhere to sleep for the night. Warm, comfortable, great views. Would stay here again, and recommended to anyone staying on the Peninsula.

Wat een bijzondere plek om te overnachten midden in de natuur! We werden in de avond vriendelijk ontvangen en direct op het menu van de avond gewezen zodat we konden bijkomen van de rit. Het voelt meteen huiselijk aan. Het eten was simpel maar zeker heel lekker!

De kamers zijn standaard maar helemaal prima. Het was opgeruimd, schoon én vanuit de kamer kon je zo naar buiten voor het spotten van het noorderlicht! Ook heb je uitzicht op de bergen en zie je met een beetje geluk de paarden langs galopperen.

Wij sliepen trouwens in de kamers met eigen badkamer in het bijgebouw.

Bella struttura immersa nella natura. La camera confortevole, con bagno privato. Nel corpo centrale è situato il ristorante che è stato una piacevole sorpresa. La sera vengono proposti tre piatti (una zuppa, un piatto di pesce e uno di carne), tutti cucinati con cura, con ottime materie prime. Colazione buona, con ampia scelta salata e dolce. Personale gentile e disponibile.

Very friendly staff at the guesthouse. Both at evening dinners and breakfast. The food was exceptionally good! Rooms are on the smaller side and lack tea or coffee. Location is good for northern lights spotting and day trips around snaeffelsness.

This place is built next to the mountains ..a breathtaking view. Rooms are well spaced and very clean. The restaurant food is very tasty and you don’t have to worry looking out to go eat after a long day.The staff are very friendly and always sport a smile. Had an opportunity to interact with the restaurant staff Roxanne,Leo, Diego & Alexandro…truly amazing humans. The morning of our check out met the owner of the property Darren who was taking care of the work in the breakfast area..and he seems a very hardworking guy and checked with the customers on how things were etc. No wonder he had built such a wonderful retreat for visitors.

I guess you couldn't call the place fancy but it was certainly a really, nice, clean, comfortably place to stay. Got the best night sleep here I would get on my whole 2 week vacation in Iceland. The 20 hours of daylight was killing me and between the great shower, the comfortable beds and the dark rooms, this place really did the trick. We were also pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We ate our breakfasts here because it was free. Even though it was free, it was still very satisfying, much better than any free breakfast that you'd find in a US hotel. Also, we actually ate dinner here out of desperation because there really wasn't anything nearby. To be honest our culinary expectations weren't high going in but the lamb and the broccoli soup that my wife and I got were top notch, some of the best food that we would get in all of Iceland. Talked to the owner of the place as we were checking out on the last day and he said that his wife personally makes the bread each morning. Guess that explains why it was so good. Also, if you are here, be sure and check out the hot spa just down the street. It's nothing fancy, but certainly nice after a long day of hiking.

Room was huge and beds were comfortable. Toilet was kinda run down with a hanging ceiling board, missing button on the WC and small sink with an unusual tap. We could not wash our bottles and night time routine with brushing of teeth or washing of face was difficult.
Service from the female receptionist was awesome and she was very helpful.
Breakfast is provided but selection is few. Room was quite cold but thank god for the heated floors.
