Incredible experience. Gorgeous views of the islands, the sea birds, and on our tour we also saw some seals and a whale! (Minke whale, we think) The guides have lived here for decades, one of them his whole life, and they’ve got great stories about the islands. If you have the opportunity, do not miss this tour!

When traveling abroad my pursuit is to learn about history and culture of a new place, especially through the vantage point of a local. My husband and I went on the volcano and puffin tour with Hjördís. It was such a a gift to learn about his family's history on the island. What I enjoyed most was sharing in his love and admiration of his home. I would recommend this tour and company!

Absolutely stunning tour from knowledgeable locals. We saw huge colonies of puffins, murre, and kittewake. We visited the surrounding islands and sea caves. We saw seals and even a whale! The guides have lived here for many years and shared what it is like to live on Vestmannaeyjar

The boat tour itself was ok but I wouldn’t recommend booking with them. Weather was very windy. Despite checking the Icelandic weather forecast I wasn’t sure if weather on the island was going to be windy as well and wasn’t sure if the tour was going to be cancelled or not due to the weather. I was trying to figure this out prior to taking the ferry over so we could plan the day and come up with an alternative if needed. I called multiple times as soon as they opened at 9 am and no one answered. I finally did get a response via email just as the ferry was boarding at 10:45 that the tour would likely happen. When we arrived and I checked I was told it may be cancelled because they weren’t sure if anyone else was coming and to check in again later. We ended up going but in the meantime, I reached out to Ribsafari to ask if they had availability if our tour was cancelled and they were very friendly and accompanying. I would recommend going with them rather than this company.

Probably a great tour. The island it beautiful and I am sure the tour is very nice. The tour gets canceled for weather or less than 4 people. Our trip was canceled for weather and the refund was prompt. The refund is made in ISK so if the exchange rate changes you could end up losing money ( I guess you could also make money). I was lost about $20, so make your reservations closer to your trip if you can.

The island is amazing and I hope to return someday. We ended up at the volcano museum which I highly recommend.

Just went With the family. Really nice experience. Well organised tour with beautiful scenery. Saw some amazing caves and cliffs.

Tour guides were really nice and knew the area well. It was a long tour which was nice. The gear was very good so we weren't cold at all and the boat was nice and powerfull.

Definitely worth every penny.
